Exclusive! Google’s top 50 commercial sites for sustainability
As introduced in our previous newsletters, SignalsRank’s analytics allow you to improve your ‘machine reputation’ for key business reputation drivers, thus positively influencing human perceptions and opinions. For example, if your company ethos or products are positioned as ‘sustainable’, then it would be valuable, when planning your SEO strategy, to have insight into the sites which Google interprets as the most significant for the subject of sustainability. Today, working with SignalsRank, Sustain Worldwide can show you exactly that. Also, existing and new Sustain Worldwide alliance members can request without charge an online sustainability health-check, valued at £495, that will inform you how your brand or company performs online for sustainability.
The chart below shows the Top 50 commercial sites returned for the query ‘sustainability’ run on Google.co.uk on the 19th of March, 2013. We’ve excluded all non-commercial sites - government, educational, institutional, charity and professional associations. We also stripped out dictionary and Wikipedia entries, and summaries (Google images, Twitter categories). Included are businesses, brands, media, publishers, consultants and corporate-funded organisations. These are the commercial sites which Google judges to be the most authoritative and relevant for the topic of sustainability and thus the most instructive to emulate in all regards, from code to content, backlinks to social connectivity.
These commercial sites send and receive the strongest ranking signals to Google to claim the highest positions in its search results. As with the SW Institutional Index, all the Top 50 are traditional websites; no social profiles are among them.
