Sustain Worldwide is delighted to announce the launch of its distinct PR, Events, Filmed Content and Environmental services offering. The services complement Sustain Worldwide membership activities. Our services may be commissioned by non members; members receive a discount on the services and there remain distinct member benefits.
In 2014 Sustain Worldwide will host four site visits to sustainability exemplar buildings. The events build on the highly successful site visits in 2013 to Central St Giles and Regent’s Place, London. Four partner, member & guest networking dinner dates have been announced. The first dinner will be hosted at Scott’s of Mayfair, London, on Thursday 27 February. Subsequent dinners will be held on 22 May, 18 September, and 13 November.
We will be working directly with a capped 8 clients only this year; 4 only opportunities remain available. If you'd like to host an event, attend a dinner, or explore how working directly with us will provide you with competitive advantage, position you as a sustainability thought leader and deliver against your business objectives, contacts us.
Vision in the World of Sustainability
Sustain Worldwide has received several expressions of interest from academia and commerce to collaborate with us on our two-phase, research based initiative Vision in the World of Sustainability. The research will seek to capture and evaluate the processes of global business leaders' visionary thinking around sustainability and CSR. It will further seek to synthesise how the outcomes of the processes are fostered and embedded into companies' and organisations' working practices. Based on the research findings the Project’s second phase will be the development of a transformational, open source Toolkit. The resource will allow businesses to explore vision on the subjects of sustainability & CSR and adaptation strategies for their own models.
Registrations of interest are now sought from a) global business leaders, who will be available for interview between March and July 2014; b) prospective Project Global Partners, Global Supporters and Global Partners.
Contact us to nominate yourself or nominate your company’s visionary for interview, and/or to request a copy of the Prospectus & Global Sponsorship Opportunity. The closing date for registrations of interest is 28 February 2014.
Sustain Worldwide, partners’ and members’ recent press coverage has largely been around Central St Giles and Regents Place. Stories about the two site visits alone provided some 40,500 opportunities to read, including coverage in: Green Building, Buildings and Facilities Management, and H&V News.
Anwar Harland-Khan, Sustain Worldwide CEO, was invited to contribute to Environment Industry Magazine. To accelerate learning and to progress thinking and development, Harland-Khan called for our industry to be open about its shortcomings and failings as much as what has succeeded. He invited stakeholders to work together and to collaborate with Sustain Worldwide. You can read the full article here.

SEED OPS: Decision support services for spatial planning optimisation launched
Realis, an Athens-based consultancy, has introduced SEED OPS (Optimal Planning Solutions), an innovative spatial optimisation service for use in development projects, real estate investments and regional planning initiatives. SEED OPS is based on sophisticated optimisation algorithms, already verified in spatial planning assignments and published in reputable international scientific journals.
SEED OPS can provide valuable, comprehensive and hard-data insight at the macro and micro level to the following key concerns:
What is the optimum spatial allocation of a given investment and/or development potential?
What is the optimal regional planning scheme for a specific area?
Which are the optimum areas for developing specific land uses and/ or property types?
Which is the optimum spatial network for land uses, projects, operations, facilities and/ or infrastructure?
Which is the optimum mix of uses (commercial, lifestyle, residential, industrial, etc.) for each property within a targeted region?
Which is the optimum development layout/ master plan for a given property (optimized mapping of uses, facilities, etc.)?
How development-related trade–offs among various optimum spatial planning alternatives could be quantified?
SEED OPS covers all types of land development, either for small-scale assignments or major international projects.
Filmed Content drives SEO
High quality filmed content has never been more valuable as a marketing tool. Google now elevates visual content above the written word. This means googles's SEO picks up on films & video first. So, those who have it on their website will come higher up the page than those who don't. National and trade press are also inclined to show films online to complement a printed story. Films also have the ability to attractively showcase your brand, your people and your products and services.
Sustain Worldwide has partnered with award-winning Taylor Made Media (clients include: Unilever; SAP; Rogers, Stirk, Harbour and Partners; and McDonald's) to provide blue chip companies with compelling and commercial brand funded filmed content that will position your company as a market leader. The filmed content consultancy offering adds to and complements our existing PR & Event Management services.

Build Well, Live Well
Call for new research on the impact of the built environment on wellbeing.
The BRE and UBM Built Environment have launched a new research programme, reported in Building4Change.com, to investigate the intrinsic link between buildings and the wellbeing of those who occupy them. As construction products and processes continue to be improved, the associated impact on building users is generating significant new data and knowledge. In order to disseminate this learning throughout the construction industry and supply chain, UBM and BRE are inviting building professionals to submit research papers detailing recent development projects and the positive and/or negative outcomes achieved in the local community resulting form these schemes. The closing date is 14 February 2014. Further information can be found here.
