Circular Economy Receives Public Support WRAP (Waste & Resources Action Programme) research shows that there is consumer interest in resource efficient business models which contribute to a circular economy by keeping products in circulation for longer. The research reveals on average almost two thirds of consumers said they would be likely to use the services if they were delivered by DIY retailers, specialist electrical retailers and manufacturers.

The Zero Carbon Hub has published a guide outlining strategies for achieving the steps incorporated in the Government's policy for zero carbon homes, which will be the compulsory standard for new homes from 2016. Zero Carbon Strategies looks at three different approaches incorporating improvements to building fabric and low-carbon technologies, as well as allowable financial solutions for bridging the gap between on-site emissions and the zero-carbon standard.

ISA 2012 Report provides sustainability data in 51 countries
The International Sustainability Alliance’s (ISA) third Annual Benchmarking Report highlights the growing influence of ISA’s unique database of property sustainability. The database comprises extensive consumption data provided by ISA members, who include leading corporate real estate owners, occupiers, developers and investors. They collectively control 150 million m2 of commercial assets in 51 countries, with an estimated value of more than £150 billion.

Towards The Circular Economy Report Executive Summary
A report by the Ellen MacArthur Foundation on the concept of a circular economy, which is an industrial system that is restorative or regenerative by intention and design. A circular economy replaces the ‘end-of-life’ concept with restoration, shifts towards the use of renewable energy, eliminates the use of toxic chemicals, which impair reuse, and aims for the elimination of waste through the superior design of materials, products, systems, and, within this, business models.
